2016 Recipients

We offer our heartfelt congratulations to Vered, Karin and Inbal for winning the 2016 Sharon Foundation awards. We feel privileged and, as always, it fills us with pride to be able support three wonderful women on their paths towards excellence in medicine. This year, based on the recommendations of the Board of the Israel Society of Pediatric Pulmonology and with the foundation’s support, Vered and Karin were able to present at the CIPP conference in Naples. And Inbal traveled to participate and present her research at the ATS conference in Chicago. Karin’s research focused on the benefits of humor (in the form of medical clowns) in the reduction of hospitalization duration of children. Inbal’s research supports the development and modification of a scoring system as a predictor for severity of a specific lung ailment in babies. And finally, Vered’s study looked at the involvement of lungs during the course of the treatment of a rare disease.

We wish Inbal, Karin and Vered all the very best for their future!
